How to Prepare for Your First TRT Consultation

What to gather, what to expect, and what questions to ask so your first video visit is actually useful.

Your first TRT consult is a free video visit with a licensed provider in your state. A little preparation makes it far more useful than showing up cold.

Gather your history: any prior testosterone labs, current medications, sleep patterns, training routine, and the symptoms you have been noticing and for how long. Be specific — 'low energy for about a year, worse in the afternoons' is more useful than 'I feel tired.'

Know your goals and your constraints. If fertility matters, say so up front — it changes which therapy fits. If you travel for work or work night shifts, mention it, because it affects lab timing. Ask your provider what the follow-up cadence looks like and what they will check.

After the consult, if TRT is appropriate, your provider orders a comprehensive panel to a local draw site. See how the full process works from signup to first dose.
