Clinical Governance

Medical Review Standards

What gets checked, how often, and who signs off — so the health content you read here is current and honest.

Last reviewed 2026-10-04 by Lauren Orta, FNP-C, Family Nurse Practitioner. This page is clinical content and is reviewed on a regular schedule.

1. Clinical accuracy check

The reviewer confirms every clinical statement is supported by current evidence or named guidance, and that no claim overstates what treatment can do.

2. Safety & contraindication review

Pages that discuss a therapy must include an honest 'who should not take this' section. The reviewer confirms contraindications are complete and not minimized.

3. Monitoring section verified

Clinical pages must describe what is checked and when. The reviewer confirms the monitoring described matches how the therapy is actually managed.

4. Scheduled re-review

Each page carries a 'last reviewed' date. Content is re-reviewed on a regular schedule and whenever the underlying clinical guidance changes.

Who signs off

Clinical review is performed by Lauren Orta, FNP-C, a Family Nurse Practitioner licensed in Arizona. She is a nurse practitioner, not a physician; clinical decisions are made independently by licensed providers, as required by the MSO structure. When a Utah provider is confirmed, Utah-specific content is reviewed to the same standard.

Not medical advice

These standards govern how we produce and maintain content. Nothing on this site is a substitute for a consultation with a licensed provider who has reviewed your labs and history. A page can tell you what the evidence shows; only a provider can tell you what is right for you.
